Common Questions
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 8–12 months out. Spring, summer, and early-fall Saturdays go first; mid-week and winter dates often have shorter lead times.
Will the painting be finished by the end of the night?
The major composition — figures, light, the moment itself — is brought to a near-finished state on the day. Final detail work happens in the studio over the following 1–2 weeks before delivery.
Do you travel outside Madison?
Yes. Travel within 30 miles of Madison is included. Anywhere else in Wisconsin (or across the Midwest) is welcome — we just quote travel separately.
What materials do you use?
Archival-quality stretched canvas, professional artist-grade oils or acrylics depending on the venue and timeline, and a final UV-protective varnish before delivery.
Can we choose what's painted?
Absolutely. The coordination call is where we settle on the moment — first kiss, first dance, processional, vows, or something more unusual. We send reference compositions before the day.
Do you offer custom canvas sizes?
Yes. The packaged sizes cover most weddings, but estate-scale or non-standard formats can be quoted on request.
